Plant a tomato this way and get a strong and healthy harvest
To get more tasty and juicy tomatoes, you need to follow important growing steps. Namely, choose the right seedlings, take into account weather conditions and fertilize the crop. We will show you what to do to ensure that tomatoes grow large and are resistant to diseases.
Required:
- seedling.
How to plant?
Make a trench 15 cm deep in the ground.
Place 15-30 cm sprouts in a hole, bury 2/3 of the way. Only leaves should remain on the surface.
You can add compost or granular fertilizer to the soil. Lightly tamp down the soil and water thoroughly. Good watering encourages roots to grow and spread downward.
Remember that the deeper you bury the seedlings, the larger and stronger the roots will develop. And the more there are, the more fruits the plant will produce.
Water the crop with minerals. Make sure that the amount of phosphorus is higher than the content of potassium and nitrogen. Yeast and fireweed are excellent vitamin-containing biological fertilizers.
Over time, install the sticks to allow the stem to wrap around.
This method of deep planting and high-quality care will bring good results.
Growing tomatoes:
To increase the yield, sprouts must be planted in loose, warm and permeable soil in a small garden plot. There are two planting methods: hole and trench (side). The most effective trench method for a deep hole.
Tomatoes can be early-ripening, mid-ripening, late-ripening. Based on size, there are low-growing, medium-growing and tall-growing varieties.
The root system develops 40-50 cm in depth and has many lateral veins. And the main root can penetrate 1.5 meters into the mail.
Tomatoes are heat-loving, require a lot of light and moderate amounts of liquid and air. There is no need to grow them in the same bed in which peppers, potatoes and eggplants previously grew.
