How to easily remove grass between tiles without buying chemicals
Grass between tiles or in asphalt cracks can ruin the entire exterior of any home. After rains, weeds and field grass quickly break through the soil and grow in the joints between the tiles. Pulling it out by hand is a long and labor-intensive process. You can make your own herbicide that is safe even for children, but effective in controlling grass.
What do you need to prepare?
To create your own herbicide you will need:
- Salt;
- Vinegar;
- Container for dissolving salt;
- Detergent – any you have in the house will do;
- Warm water;
- Spray bottle.
Component mixing process
Add 1 tablespoon of salt to a container of warm water and stir until completely dissolved. After this, you need to pour the water into a spray bottle. Then you need to pour vinegar into the bottle. If you use a 1:1 ratio of water to vinegar, then the result after spraying will come in a couple of days, and if you need to speed up the process, you can use 2 parts vinegar to 1 part water.
Then you need to add detergent to a bottle of water and vinegar. It will serve as a fixative for the solution on the greens and increase its effectiveness.You can add 1 tablespoon of detergent per 2 liters of solution. Once all the ingredients are mixed, you can spray the grass between the tiles.
By pouring plenty of water into all areas with greenery, you will be able to increase the effectiveness of the product and speed up the process.
This herbicide is completely harmless to humans and the environment and can be used even in the yard. The smell of vinegar quickly disappears, and the result of spraying remains for a long time. After such spraying, the grass will quickly wither and dry out in a couple of days; all that remains is to simply collect it and dispose of it.
