Shish kebab according to the Soviet recipe, which conquered millions
There are a great many recipes for cooking shish kebab. But people of the Soviet era believe that the most delicious meat is cooked with a minimum of seasonings, like in the old days. I suggest trying shish kebab marinated in this way.
Ingredients
For preparation you will need:
- pork neck – 2-3 kg;
- onions – 2-3 pcs.;
- garlic – 3-4 cloves;
- bay leaf – 3 pcs.;
- ground black pepper;
- vinegar 70%;
- cold boiled water;
- salt.
Cooking delicious shish kebab
Cut the meat into large pieces, about 3 cm thick.
Cut the onion into thick rings and separate into pieces.
Place a layer of onion on the bottom of the pan, followed by a layer of pork.
Salt and sprinkle with ground black pepper. Repeat the layers of onion and meat several times, don’t forget to sprinkle with seasonings.
Let's make the marinade. Grate the garlic on a coarse grater. Pour a glass of cold boiled water, add 4 tablespoons of vinegar, stir.
Pour the marinade over the pork and onions and place bay leaves on top.
Place a plate on top of the food and a heavy bottle of water or other weight on it. Leave in a dark, cool place for 5 hours.
Mix marinated products.Thread onto skewers and fry over charcoal until cooked through.
On separate skewers, fry pieces of bread or loaf, as well as onions marinated with the meat. You can also serve it raw, or simmer it a little in a frying pan.
