How to clean a well with two one and a half rubles
A well that serves as a source of water in a country house or farmstead must be cleaned of sand 2 times a year in spring and autumn. To do this, you need a universal technological device that can be used for many years.
How to easily clean a well with your own hands
We solder a string from a polypropylene pipe with a diameter of 20 mm, the length of which is 1-2 m greater than the depth of the well. In this case, it is better to use couplings rather than hoses and clamps. Soldered pipes can be rolled into rings and transferred to any location in the trunk of a car.
Drill a hole in the bottom of a plastic bottle. Using scissors or a drill, we make several technological holes in the bottom of the bottle. It is not recommended to cut off the bottom of the bottle completely. If you go below the casing when cleaning, the bottle may catch on it or get stuck.
We insert one end of the pipe into the bottle and fix it to the pipe with screws.
We cut off the bottom of the second bottle and tape it with tape or tape to the upper end of the pipe. It will act as a funnel. The device is ready to work for its intended purpose, i.e., to clean the well from sand.
We lower the first bottle to the bottom of the well, and use the second bottle as a funnel.
Pour 5-10 liters of water into the pipe. Then we take it out and shake out the sand. We repeat this operation until the well is completely cleaned and becomes as deep as it was at the beginning of operation.
If the bottom of the well rests on hard rock, then it is necessary to clean it until the sand runs out. You can use a pump instead of a funnel to supply water, but you need to be careful, because the bottle gets stuck quite firmly in the sand and is difficult to pull out.
Do not apply excessive force to the pipe, otherwise the bottle may remain in the well. If the bottle is stuck, you need to pump water into it and, by rotating the pipe, pull the bottle to the top.
After cleaning the well, unscrew the screws and use the pipe as an extension for the watering hose. The pipe should not be kept in direct sunlight as it will become brittle over time.
