How to make a water well without a drilling rig
Water is always needed at a summer cottage, regardless of the size of the house and the length of time you live in it. Digging traditional wells is time-consuming and expensive; land owners most often make wells. But there is one problem - specialized companies do not price their services cheaply. There is a budget option to make a well yourself without a drilling rig.
You will need a thick-walled pipe with a diameter of 50 mm and a length of approximately 7–6 m. Punching technology involves welding and drilling work - prepare a machine, drilling machine or drill. It is necessary to hammer in with a heavy load; in our case, a flywheel from an SMD-14 diesel engine is used. A movable, durable metal holder is screwed to the pipe.
First you need to prepare a metal pipe. The end should be capped with a sharp tip; it can be made from sheet iron or pipe. To do this, four equilateral triangles are cut out of it, the remaining petals are bent and welded.
To pass water through the end of the pipe, holes with a diameter of 3–5 mm should be drilled in a checkerboard pattern.
We tighten the clamping mechanism onto the pipe so that there is something to hit.
To make work easier, handles must be welded to the flywheel on both sides.
Install the pipe in the prepared place strictly vertically and use the flywheel to start driving it into the ground, you need to work together. Make sure it is always in an upright position.
As you deepen, turn the pipe a little, this will make the clogging process easier. To control the depth, place marks on the pipe at a distance of one meter. As you dive, move the holder higher and weld a piece of pipe. If you want to drive a 6–8 m long pipe intact, try it.
Once the required depth is reached, check for the presence of water: lower the nut on a thread into it. There is water - great, insert a plastic hose into the pipe and connect it to a water column with a hand pump.
Fill the column with water to remove air, and begin pumping the well. At first the water will be mixed with sand and clay, and then it will begin to flow.
Over time, the speaker is installed directly indoors; outdoors is a temporary option. You can connect an electric pump instead of a column.
If the influx of water is very small, then you can clog the pipe a little more and then raise it a little.
Before starting work, you need to know the location of the aquifer. Ask your neighbors, measure the depth of dug wells, if there are any nearby. And one more warning - this method can only make a well on soft, preferably sandy, soils.
It is recommended that the length of one pipe is no more than two meters, then new sections are welded as they are driven in. You must work very carefully, the axes of the welded pipes must be located on the same line, and the weld must be strong, without gaps or burnt metal.
