Invisible shelf for books.

You can add uniqueness to your interior and surprise your guests with the help of such a special bookshelf. Absolutely invisible from the outside, it allows you to create a feeling of objects being suspended in the air.

To create this magic with our own hands we will need:

- A book with a beautiful cover
- “L” mount
- Knife
- Drill
- Screwdriver
- PVA glue
- Roulette
- Self-tapping screws

We make markings in the center of the book for fastening.

Using a knife, we cut into the book according to the markings to the depth of the corner.

We try it on so that the corner is recessed.

We cut out a corner in the cover so that the book fits snugly against the wall.

We screw the corner to the book with self-tapping screws.

For general rigidity, we fix the corners of the book with self-tapping screws.

Apply PVA glue to the top sheet of the book.

We load the glued book with a weight and leave it overnight.

Screwing the corner to the wall

The invisible shelf is ready. All that remains is to load it with books and show it off to the guests :)))

Not an effective use of the corner; when all the books are removed, it can be seen on the wall. It's easier to do without it altogether. Glue the pages in the book, dry it under any press, drill holes from the edge of each side to approximately the middle of the book. Insert steel pins into these holes and, by drilling counter holes in the wall and driving dowels into them, connect the modified book to the wall.

It is safer to use 2 corners

The only bad thing is that you have to spoil the book. Otherwise, everything is original, but I agree with yutsuken that it is better to use two corners...

It’s even simpler: put a book cover on a regular piece of wood on pins.
