Octopus artist

To knit an octopus toy, you need to take 100 g of medium-thick pink yarn, 50 g of purple yarn of the same quality, floss or simple threads of white and black colors for the eyes, red, hot pink for a smile and hook No. 3- 4.
Octopus body.
1 row. We knit a chain of 2 chain stitches with pink thread and close it into a ring—we knit a half-column into the first loop.

2-4 rows. We raise knitting for the new row - 2 chain stitches - and two double crochets are knitted into all loops of the previous row. Each row is closed with a half-column in the first loop and begins with a rise. The result is a spherical shape. This is the bottom part of the toy.

Rows 5-15. It is knitted in a single crochet stitch in each loop of the fourth row, the row begins and ends in the same way as before. Knitting goes smoothly in the form of a cylinder. The number of rows will determine the height of the toy's body.

Rows 16-18. Now the crown is rounded—the loops are reduced. One loop is made from two double crochets; for this, both double crochets are knitted halfway; there are three loops on the hook, which are knitted with one thread.

Now you need to prepare a soft filler for the toy. This can be padding polyester, parallon, scraps of unnecessary fabric or cotton wool. If you use the first or second option, it is better to cut it into small pieces.

When there are one or two rows left to complete, the toy is filled with stuffing and tied to the end.

Tentacles.
1 row. A chain of 40 chain stitches is cast on using pink thread.

2nd row. After lifting, two double crochets are knitted into each loop; this and the next row is completed with one double crochet.

3rd row. Lift, three double crochets in each loop.

4 row. A purple thread is used to tie the part on one side, one half-column in each loop.

We twist the resulting part into a spiral. A total of 4 tentacles are made in this way.
Face.
We draw with a pencil or chalk the outline of the future face of the toy.

Now the eyes and smile are embroidered using satin floss thread. You can also buy plastic eyes for toys at the store, or cut them out of paper or felt and glue them on.

Beret.
1 row. Using a purple thread, we collect two air loops, and, in the same way as at the beginning of the work, we close them into a ring.
2-4 rows. In each previous column there are two double crochets.

5 row. Every two loops are knitted into one with a double crochet.

Assembly.
The beret is sewn on the top of the head in a circle, straight or slightly to one side.

The paws are sewn evenly from the bottom. To reduce the number of knots, you can use the same thread to assemble the parts that was left over after completing each part.
