Master class on knitting decorations for a summer hat
Today we will knit a decoration for a bright summer hat.
This will be a butterfly decorated with beads; we will tie three spiral elements to it.
For knitting we will need:
We knit a chain of 26 chain stitches with green threads.
We connect the ends of the chain and get a ring.
We knit 12 single crochets, one stitch in each chain stitch.
In the 13th ch we knit 3 single stitches to round the body of the butterfly.
Next, 3 tbsp, in the fourth column we will place a jumper that will hold the wings. We knit a single stitch through a chain loop and the lower edge of the opposite stitch as shown in the figure.
Next we knit 4 stitches and the 5th stitch again with a jumper. We continue tying, closing the row.
To form the head, turn it over knitting, 3 ch rises, 2 double crochets in 4 double crochets of the previous row.
Close the loop and cut the thread.
We will knit the wings with orange thread according to the pattern.We start with the larger wing, closer to the head. We knit 12 ch, as shown in the figure, we knit the last loop of the chain into the first.
Next we knit double crochets according to the pattern. For the smaller wing, cast on 8 ch.
Similarly, we knit the wings on the opposite side of the butterfly’s body.
Take a yellow thread and tie the entire butterfly with single crochets.
Our butterfly is ready. We fasten the ends of the threads and cut them.
Now let's tie the spirals. We knit them according to the pattern using green threads. You can choose any length, I used 30 ch for a long spiral, and 20 ch for short spirals. I have 3 spirals in total.
We cast on 30 ch, in the first we knit 2 double crochet stitches, in the rest we knit 2 double crochet stitches. We have knitted the first spiral.
From the last air loop we knit another 20 chains, we knit it like the first spiral.
Then we knit the third spiral.
I tied all three spirals with orange thread in single crochets.
We have connected all the decoration elements, now you can put them together. I decorated the butterfly with beads along the body and tied the antennae. This is the decoration I came up with for the hat.
You can place all the elements to your liking, add other decorations, such as sequins, decorate the wings or ends of the spirals with beads.

- Three skeins of thread of different colors (it will take a little). I have the colors matched to the hat. Threads “Peony”, 50g – 200m.
- I used a 2mm hook.
