Complex two-story flower
Kanzashi gives great opportunity to create different colors. There are no two identical colors, because they are created by hand, and any handmade work is unique in its essence. Making a simple flower is easy, but creating a complex two-story flower is not difficult if you have the desire and patience. This is how you can get a flower if you really want it.
Like? Then prepare everything you need:
- satin ribbon in dark colors 5 x 5 cm - 9 pieces.
- light-colored satin ribbon 5 x 5 cm – 9 pieces.
- glue,
- lighter,
- cardboard in the form of a circle.
You also need a decorative bead. First of all, let's prepare the petals for the flower. To do this, fold a square of each color in half, and you will get these double triangles.
Place one triangle on top of the other. If you want a dark flower, then put the light one on the dark one, and if the flower is meant to be light, then vice versa. Leave a little space between them so that they are at different levels.
Then fold in half to create a smaller triangle. Fold it like this, if you want it dark, then the light one should be on top, if it’s light, then the dark one should be on top.
Next, you need to bring two sides of different colors down, holding everything with your finger.
Do the same with the other side.
Trim the end and use fire to connect all the layers. Do this very carefully so that everything sticks well and the layers do not separate.
Trim the back part a little and also set it on fire. This method makes the petal very tall, and due to this the flower turns out tall and voluminous.
The first petal is ready.
Do all 9 petals in the same way. Here they are.
A flower needs a base. Take a circle of cardboard and cover it with tape on both sides.
Glue 6 petals together to create the bottom floor of the flower.
Glue the three petals together with the lower corners.
Both floors are ready.
Glue the first floor onto cardboard covered with tape. And on it, glue three finished petals so that each petal is between the two lower ones.
Place any bead that matches the color in the middle, and the flower is ready.
That's all, as you can see, everything is done quickly. Practice on some scrap fabric to build up your hand, and you can safely get to work. A little patience and you will definitely succeed.
