Toy dog
You can use fleece to make a cute new toy for your child. It will take little time to make it, but the result will surely please your baby.
Materials: fleece in black, light brown and dark brown, padding polyester for filling the toy, thread, needle, scissors, pattern paper, pencil, two black beads, red felt on a sticky base, or regular red felt, beautiful gold metal button colors.
Operating procedure.
1. Make a pattern on paper - draw the details of the body, legs, head, forehead, ear. Cut out all the details from paper.
2. Transfer the pattern of the details of the dog’s head and forehead onto light brown fleece and cut it out, not forgetting to leave half a centimeter for allowance.
3. Sew the dog’s head, sewing in the forehead detail.
4. Stuff the head part tightly with padding polyester.
5. Transfer the patterns of the dog’s body and legs onto light brown fleece. Cut out two parts of the body and legs. When cutting, you need to leave half a centimeter for seam allowances.
6. Sew together the parts of the body and legs in pairs. You can sew either on a sewing machine or by hand.
7. Sew the details in the tummy area.
8. Sew the body parts together. An unsewn hole should be left in the neck area.
9.Turn the body piece inside out through the unsewn hole.
10. Stuff the dog’s body tightly with padding polyester.
11. Hand sew the head to the body using a blind stitch.
12. Transfer the eyelet piece to light brown and dark brown fleece. Cut two ear pieces from light brown fleece and two pieces from dark brown fleece, leaving a half-centimeter seam allowance.
13.Pair a piece of light brown fleece with a piece of dark brown fleece in pairs and sew along the edge, leaving an unsewn hole at the top of each ear.
14. Turn out the ears.
15. Sew up the unsewn holes on the ears with a hidden seam, turning the edges inward. Fold each ear in half and carefully sew it to the dog's head.
16. Now you need to make a nose for the dog. Cut a circle with a diameter of 3 cm from black fleece. Gather the circle along the edge with a black thread.
17. Fill the nose with padding polyester and carefully sew it to the dog’s face with a hidden seam.
18. Sew black beady eyes on the dog.
19. Embroider toes on each foot with black thread.
20. All that remains is to make the collar. To do this, cut out two strips of red felt on a sticky base, 2 cm wide and 20 cm long. Glue the strips together. If you don't have sticky felt, you can cut strips of regular felt and sew them together. Sew a beautiful metal button in the center of the collar.
21. Try on the dog’s collar. If it is too long, it can be shortened. Place the collar on the dog's neck and secure with a few stitches of red thread.
