Sew a teddy bear
It’s not at all difficult to sew such a teddy bear, and you’ll spend little time making it, but you’ll certainly delight your baby. After all, both girls and boys enjoy playing with soft toys.
To work you will need:
- dark brown fleece;
- orange fleece;
- padding polyester;
- scissors;
- needle;
- threads;
- two black beads;
- black button on the leg;
- wide golden ribbon.
Operating procedure
1. First, draw a teddy bear pattern on paper - draw the head, torso, muzzle, front and back legs. Cut out the parts of the teddy bear from paper.
2. Place the teddy bear head pattern onto the dark brown fleece and trace. Cut out two head pieces using seam allowances.
3. Sew the head pieces together, leaving a small hole at the bottom.
4. Turn out the part of the bear's head.
5. Fill your head with padding polyester.
6. Place the teddy bear body pattern onto the dark brown fleece and trace. Cut out two body pieces with seam allowances.
7. Sew the body, leaving an opening at the top.
8. Turn out the part of the bear’s body.
9. Stuff the body with padding polyester.
10.Lay the pattern of the bear's front legs onto the dark brown fleece and trace. Cut out four leg pieces using seam allowances.
11. Fold the parts of the front legs in two and sew along the edge.
12. Using sharp scissors, make holes in the legs and turn the legs out.
13. Stuff the front legs with padding polyester.
14. Transfer the pattern of the teddy bear's hind legs onto dark brown fleece and trace. Cut out the four pieces of the back legs using seam allowances.
15. Fold the parts of the back legs in two and sew along the edge.
16. Using sharp scissors, make holes in the back legs and turn them inside out.
17. Stuff the hind legs with padding polyester.
18. Transfer the ear pattern to dark brown and orange fleece and trace. Cut two ear pieces out of dark brown and orange fleece, leaving seam allowances.
19. Place the dark brown and orange fleece ear pieces in pairs and sew along the edge. The lower parts of the ears should be left unsewn.
20. Turn out the ears.
21. Using a blind stitch, sew up the hole in the lower part of the head and in the upper part of the bear’s body. Carefully sew the head and body together.
22. Sew open holes on the front and back legs. Sew the legs to the body as shown in the photo.
23. Fold the unsewn edges of the ears inward and sew them with a hidden seam. Sew the ears to the head.
24. From orange fleece, cut out a muzzle using a paper pattern. Sew the muzzle to the front of the head using a loop stitch.
25. Sew black bead eyes and a button nose onto the bear. Using black thread, embroider a stripe indicating the cheeks.
26. Tie the bear a lush bow from a wide golden ribbon.
The soft toy is ready. This teddy bear will look great on the sofa in a children's room.

19. Place the dark brown and orange fleece ear pieces in pairs and sew along the edge. The lower parts of the ears should be left unsewn.
20. Turn out the ears.
