Kitten Ryzhik
Children always love small ones Stuffed Toys. Kids play with them with pleasure, take them for walks and to kindergarten, and go to bed with them. You can sew such a wonderful soft friend together with your child, and then he will be especially dear to him for many years.
Let's try to make, for example, a cute kitten from bright orange fleece. This exciting activity will not take too much time, but the child will certainly remember the day when you sewed a funny soft toy together and the baby received his first soft friend.
To complete the work we will need:
- fleece in white and orange colors;
- padding polyester;
- scissors;
- yellow threads;
- needle;
- two blue buttons and one pink (other shades are also possible);
- green ribbon.
Work order:
First we need to make patterns of all the parts. To do this, you should draw on a piece of paper patterns of the body, legs and head of the future kitten.
Next, carefully cut out all the details from the paper, place them on the wrong side of the orange fleece and outline them with a felt-tip pen. Don’t forget to step back half a centimeter from the edge of the pattern - these will be seam allowances.We cut out two parts of the body, head and legs from the fabric. We place one piece of the legs on the piece of the body and sew along the edge. In exactly the same way we sew the second part of the body and legs.
Now you need to sew the body parts together. The seams on the side of the neck and tummy are temporarily left unsewn.
Turn the body part right side out.
Next, we stuff the kitten’s body with padding polyester through the previously left unsewn seams. This stage of work can be allowed to be done by the child. He will be quite capable of this. In addition, he must take an active part in the creation of his friend.
Now it's time to blindstitch the seam on the tummy side.
Next, we sew together the details of the head, again leaving a small unsewn area at the bottom.
Now you need to turn the head part right side out and make seams that will separate the ears from the muzzle. And again a task for your baby. You need to fill your head with padding polyester. Then you carefully sew it to the body.
We cut out an oval from white fleece and sew it to the front of the head with a loop stitch. This will be the kitten's face.
Now the kitten’s face needs to be shaped so that it has a finished look. To do this, we sew on blue button eyes and a pink button nose.
A child can tie a bow from a satin ribbon to their new kitten friend.
The work is almost finished. All that remains is to give the kitten a name. For example, let's call him Ryzhik. Both boys and girls will like this toy and, most likely, will not get tired of it, because it is sewn with your own hands.
