Headband for girls made of ribbons
Very soon the time for graduation parties in kindergarten is coming, and, undoubtedly, every mother wants her princess to look beautiful and elegant. Of course, for each prom dress or suit, appropriate hair decoration and accessories are selected. You can, of course, buy something ready-made in stores, but imagine that you have a multi-colored outfit and jewelry similar to the color scheme of the costume simply cannot be found, but you want to dress up your princess from top to bottom. Here a technique that is popular among modern needlewomen will help us very well, this is the technique kanzashi. Jewelry made using the kanzashi technique is always considered exclusive and original, since in it you independently combine colors and create the shape of the decoration. Thanks to this master class, we will make a hair headband that will very well complement the little girl’s dress at the prom party.
For this we need the following:

So, we will have a three-color hoop with five flowers, so let’s start making flower petals. We take satin ribbons and cut them into squares. We will have large petals from white squares, and medium petals from soft pink and purple squares. Cut 12 white squares measuring 5 by 5 cm, 16 soft pink squares measuring 4*4 cm and 16 purple squares also measuring 4*4 cm.

Now use a lighter to burn the sides of each square so that the threads do not unravel. Let's start making a white petal. Let's take a square.

Fold it in half diagonally and use a lighter to burn the corners to secure it together. We bend one corner to the center, pinch it with tweezers, now also the second corner to the center, pinch it with tweezers and cauterize it.

We turn the petal back, make a parallel cut, as well as a small cut on the side. We burn it with a lighter on the side, and at the back the petal turns out to be double, we also burn first one cut, then the other as well.

We straighten the petal.

We make the remaining 11 white petals. We also make 16 purple petals.

And in exactly the same sequence there are 16 soft pink petals.

All the petals are ready, let's start assembling the flowers.

We will need more backings, so we cut out a circle 2.5 cm in diameter for each flower. Use a lighter to go along the edge of each circle. Now we collect flowers with a thread and a needle, as in the photo. We glue the substrates from below with a glue gun, and glue the cabochons in the center.

Now we glue the flowers onto the headband.

The hoop for the little princess is ready. Happy making!
