Bicycle wheel lighting
Good day everyone, in this short article I will tell you how to make bicycle wheel lights with your own hands.
For this we need:
- 1. Waterproof LED strip.
- 2. Holders for 9 V batteries.
- 3. Two 9 V batteries.
- 4. A pair of switch buttons.
- 5. Silicone sealant or hot melt adhesive.
Making lights for bicycle wheels
First of all, we cut the LED strip into pieces, which we will paste between the spokes; I got 36 pieces for each wheel.
Next, we glue pieces of LED strip between the spokes on each wheel and begin the process of soldering it.
After we have soldered the LED strip, we will start connecting the power - we solder a couple of wires at the end of the LED strip and lead them through the power button to the battery holder, we fix the holder itself on the wheel shaft using a steel clamp, now all that remains is to secure the wires with the switch along the spoke and seal it soldered contacts on the LED strip using hot glue or silicone sealant.
We check the functionality and go for a ride around the city at night...If you have any questions, watch the video of the manufacturing process:
