Simple wall lighting lamp
This wall lamp provides smooth and even illumination. This is achieved by the fact that light is reflected from external obstacles and scattered. If desired, such a unique lamp can be assembled in about 30 minutes, having everything at hand, of course.
This wall light consists of just two C-shaped aluminum profiles. And an LED strip with a power supply.
- I bought the aluminum profile at a hardware store.
- And I ordered the LED strip in China - aliexpress
- The power supply was ordered in China - aliexpress
Also, if you are going to repeat my lamp, then you will also need epoxy resin glue.
So, let's begin. I chose the wall above the sofa. I took measurements and decided on the long backlight. The shape of the lamp was chosen arbitrarily. I decided to place the profile rulers at a short distance so that I could simply hang the lamp on two hooks sticking out on the sides of the wall, which were left over from the previous owners.
I decided to saw off several small parts of the profile and use them to ensure this distance. I diluted epoxy glue, spread it on the sides to be fastened and secured it, leaving it to dry.
This was my first experience using epoxy based glue and it was quite unsuccessful. It would be better if I took small screws and nuts...
Okay, I glued the profiles together. But when it came to gluing the LED strip, everything went wrong. As a result, I drilled a hole on the back side and inserted wooden caps that would hold the ribbon.
After completing the assembly, I hung the lamp and hid the wire behind the curtain.
In this design, I took the tape in a protective insulated casing. But you can also use a regular one, since a low-voltage 12 V power supply is used, and there is galvanic voltage isolation in the power source.
You can also use an RGB LED strip with a remote control and turn on any color of lighting depending on your mood.
