Knitted necklace “Rosary”
Having learned to crochet, you can create not only openwork blouses, hats and sundresses, but also unique jewelry. For example, you can create a charming Rosary necklace.
To make it you will need:
- scissors.
- a ball of white “iris” yarn.
- hook for hand knitting.
- needle for hand sewing.
- sewing reinforced threads.
- large multi-faceted beads of bright pink color, 60 pieces.
- glue gun.
The sequence of creating a necklace.
The necklace consists entirely of knitted elements, so before you start working, you need to divide the yarn into two equal parts and wind it into one skein, but with a double thread. This is necessary to give all the details density and clarity of lines. The decoration consists of two types of flowers: small and medium sizes. They are knitted the same way, the middle flowers differ only in the presence of an additional row that forms double petals. Using a hook, create an initial loop and knit five air loops. Next you need to combine them into a ring. This will be the first row of the flower.
2nd row: two lifting loops, tightly knitted 15 st. without a crochet.
3rd row: 2 chain stitches for lifting, *one st. b/n, 5 air.loops*, then repeat from * to * six more times.
The result will be a small flower with seven petals.
You need two of these colors for a necklace. After finishing knitting, you need to secure all the edges of the threads so that the part does not unravel.
After this, you should knit the main flowers for the Rosary necklace. They are knitted similarly to small flowers.
The first three rows fully correspond to the previously indicated knitting description and another row of petals has been added.
4th row: two lifting loops, * seven chain loops, one st. b/n*, then you need to repeat from * to * six more times. The result will be a flower with double petals.
You will need five of these pieces; in each of them you need to secure a thread at the end of knitting to protect them from unraveling.
Now all that remains is to tie the strings for the necklace. You should make a starting loop with a crochet hook and knit a chain of air loops until it reaches 36 cm in length. Next you should turn knitting and start the second row. To do this, you need to make a lifting loop and an arch of five loops through one loop of the previous row. You will need 9 such arches, after which the knitting is finished and you can cut the thread.
You will need two of these ties.
Now all the parts for the necklace are ready and you can assemble it. To do this, three medium-sized flowers should be carefully sewn together, arranging them in the shape of a triangle.
After this, you need to sew one more medium-sized flower on different sides of the triangle, creating the shape of a necklace.
Now you should attach one small flower along the right and left edges.
Next, all that remains is to sew ties to these edges, the arches of which should start from the flowers.
All that remains is to sew on the large beads. They will be located in each arch of the ties, in and around the center of the flowers.
