Necklace "Pearl"
Any festive costume is decorated with various accessories. For especially special days, it is better to choose unique handmade jewelry. Therefore, a necklace made from “Pearl” ribbons will be the best choice.
To create a necklace you will need:
- scissors.
- white ribbon, two types of width, 5 and 2.5 cm.
- white cabochon in the amount of 5 pieces.
- lighter.
- beads on a string with a diameter of at least 0.4 cm.
- hot glue gun.
- outline for textile work with silver sparkles.
Making a necklace.
From a roll of wide ribbon it is necessary to cut even blanks, the sides of which should reach 5 cm; in total, 25 such parts will be required for the necklace.
From each square you need to prepare separate petals, from which flowers will be collected for the necklace.
The prepared white parts should be bent diagonally, giving them the shape of a triangle.
Now the cut sides need to be assembled with many folds.
Using scissors, you need to remove excess uneven cuts, leveling them, and immediately treating new edges with the fire of a lighter, fastening the assembled folds of the tape.
The result is petals with a rounded top and beautiful folds at the base.
You will need 25 of these petals for the necklace.
Next, the prepared petals should be connected together in groups of five, fastening their bases in a circle.
The result will be 5 identical colors.
Flowers can be temporarily set aside and leaves prepared for them. This will require white tape, but with a smaller width.
From a tape 2.5 cm wide, you need to make 25 pieces with sides of 2.5x4 cm.
The resulting blanks must be folded in half along their length.
Then cut off the corner near the edges of the tape, leaving the fold line intact.
Holding the folded parts tightly, you must carefully singe the edges of the cut corners, soldering the two layers of the part.
Then all that remains is to turn the parts back using the soldering seam, to give the upper part of the leaves a pointed shape.
The created leaves need to be attached with hot glue between the petals of already prepared flowers. They should be attached in the center of the inflorescence so that only the sharp tips of the leaves extend beyond the petals.
The remaining leaves must be secured to the remaining 4 flowers.
Now you can connect the necklace. Three flowers should be glued together, forming a triangle.
Then the resulting triangle needs to be turned downward so that the two flowers are located at the top. Then you need to glue the remaining two flowers to the necklace blank, forming two branches from them on the right and left sides.
Now you will need a piece of beads on a thread 55 cm long. This length will be enough to put the jewelry on over your head without adding a clasp.
The ends of the beads on the thread should be secured to the wrong side of the flowers of the two branches.
All that remains is to decorate the necklace by adding cabochon flowers, petals and leaves with sparkles.
The necklace is ready!
