How to make a snowflake
For the New Year, it is customary to decorate the Christmas tree, house, and even outfits with snowflakes. An endless variety of snow patterns are created by nature, but every person can create their own snowflakes that will decorate a crown, a dress, or serve as a decorative decoration for the home.

The most convenient material for creating a delicate snowflake is, of course, ribbons. Therefore, you will need white, blue and brocade ribbon. The width of the blue ribbon is 5 cm, and the length for 8 petals is 40 cm. Brocade is suitable for a width of 4 cm, its length is 32 cm. But a white ribbon 4 cm wide will take quite a lot - 96 cm and plus 4 cm for the base, so buy it exactly 1 meter. You also need glue and a candle. For the middle, either a small star or a small snowflake will do.
Let's begin the creative process. Initially, you need to cut the ribbons into squares. We will need 8 blue squares, their size corresponds to the width of the ribbon and will be five by five. You also need 8 brocade blanks. The white ribbon goes to the branches of the snowflake, each of which has 6 elements, so you need 24 white squares measuring four by four.
Now we form double petals, from which we will create a central flower. Bend the square in half, but diagonally.

Then fold it over again to create a layered triangle.

From the brocade square, using the same bends, we also make a triangle in 4 layers. Then you need to put one part of the petal on top of another. Care must be taken to ensure that the corners point upward in one line.

We bend the petal sample so that the silver is hidden inside, and the outer side of the petal is made of blue satin.

Using a candle flame, burn the edge of the petal so that all 8 layers are soldered together. If you don't connect all the layers, the petal will fall off.

Sew or glue 8 petals into a single flower.

Also bending the white ribbon blanks twice, make 24 petals.

Glue them in pairs, and then glue one pair into the next pair.

Now you need to glue these branches between the petals.

But skip one flight, that is, only 4 branches are needed between the eight petals.

Decorate the center with a bright snowflake and the decoration is ready. You can turn the work over and stick on hair ties or a small ribbon, which will be convenient for hanging the snowflake on the Christmas tree.
