New Year's sheep made of fabric
The coming year 2015 was divided between two symbolic animals - the Goat and the Sheep. Therefore, it would be completely appropriate to give friends and family images of these animals in any form: in paintings, postcards, knitted and sewn. Today we will sew a New Year's lamb, which will take its place of honor on a shelf or chest of drawers and will certainly bring success and happiness to the house, a stable income and harmony in the family, as Eastern belief says.
For work we will need two types of fabric: a plain pink flannel for the muzzle and ears and a multi-colored cotton fabric for the body and fur on the head, a neck decoration (you can hang a bell or a flower), a ribbon for the tail, threads, scissors, a needle and stuffing. (sintepon). And, of course, a pattern downloaded from the Internet. You can sew on a machine, or you can sew by hand, as you are used to.
Let's lay out the fabric, fold it in half, and outline all the details; we have all the details in one copy, except for the ears.
We sew the parts along the pattern line, leaving a small area unstitched for subsequent stuffing, and cut them out with a seam allowance of 7-8 mm.We sew the edges so that the material does not “run” with threads along the edges.
Let's turn out every detail.
We fill the parts with padding polyester and carefully, using a hidden seam, sew up the holes for stuffing.
We begin to sew all the details together. We finish stitching the parts. The sheep is almost ready, all that remains is to sew on its tail and decorate it.
Well, now our New Year's lamb looks the way it should, and will be glad to bring blessings and joy into the house of its owners!
