How to sew a soft toy from a sock
Probably absolutely everyone has encountered such a problem as the disappearance of the second sock. It seemed like there were two socks, and then after washing one was missing. This happens quite often and several different socks gradually accumulate in the closet, pairs of which have been lost somewhere. So what to do with them? The answer is very simple - turn these useless things into fun Stuffed Toys, for example, sew a cute teddy bear from such a sock.
For this toy we will need: one sock, a pencil, scissors, thread, a needle, padding polyester for filling (you can also use cotton wool or fill the toy with scraps), glue, a small piece of satin ribbon, small buttons or beads for the eyes (in this case we use special eyes, they are usually sold in a fabric store).
Step 1. To begin, fold our sock with the sole up and outline with a pencil the outlines of the head and paws of the future bear cub.
Step 2. Then cut out all parts of the body along the lines.
Step 3. Now it’s clear that this is not just a sock, but a future toy: we have a silhouette of a bear.Let's move on, let's take care of the head - embroider a nose on it with transverse stitches, having previously drawn the contours with a pencil.
Step 4. After this, you need to turn everything inside out and sew the ears, back and front legs.
Step 5. Next, we embroider the claws on the paws with black thread.
Step 6. Then fill all parts of the body with synthetic padding (try to fill as densely as possible).
Step 7. Then we sew the head to the body.
Step 8. Attach the legs.
Step 9. All that remains is to revive the teddy bear, to do this we glue his eyes.
Step 10. To complete the look, tie a satin ribbon bow around our bear’s neck.
Well, that's all, the funny little bear is ready. This is what can come out of an ordinary sock. Good luck in your creativity!
