Magnet organizer for the refrigerator
Fridge magnets won’t surprise anyone these days, but today I want to offer you an alternative – not just a beautiful fridge magnet, but also a functional pocket-organizer for pens and various kitchen items that are always in the wrong place. At minimal cost, which is no less important, you can get a unique designer item. For this beauty I used the technique decoupage.
To work we will need:
- plastic glass (can be replaced with a plastic bottle);
- decorative three-layer napkin;
- cardboard;
- flat magnets;
- silicone glue;
- PVA glue;
- acrylic varnish for interior work;
- “zero” sandpaper;
- scissors;
- pencil;
- brushes.
And so we take a napkin and carefully separate the top layer.
The next step is to cut the glass into two halves (I had a half-liter plastic glass)
We apply half the glass to the cardboard and trace it with a pencil, cut out the shape with an allowance of 0.5 - 0.7 cm for gluing and fold it along the drawn outline
Glue cardboard into half a glass
Place the napkin on the glass and coat it thoroughly with PVA glue from the center to the edges. This must be done carefully, since the napkin, when wet, becomes very soft and delicate; if pressed hard, it can be stretched and even torn, which is highly undesirable.
Let the glue dry and cover with a layer of acrylic varnish
After the varnish has dried, which will take 2-3 hours, go over it with sandpaper and varnish again
After complete drying, glue the magnet with silicone glue.
As a result, such an unusual organizer is easy and simple.
Imagine, create and surprise yourself and others. Good luck!
