Candy basket
A candy basket will be a great gift for a loved one. The flowers will never wither and the sweet contents can be eaten. An ordinary bouquet will quickly wither and leave no memories, but a composition using the suite design technique will delight its owner for a long time. You don’t need super skills or complex materials to make it. Anyone can make a candy basket.
Prepare the following materials:
- basket;
- candies;
- Styrofoam;
- copper wire, stationery knife, scissors, toothpicks;
- glue gun;
- artificial flowers;
- corrugated paper;
- ribbons, beads, decor.
First you need to fill the basket with foam. Trace the bottom of the basket onto the foam and use a utility knife to cut out a circle. Before filling the basket, be sure to wrap the base with corrugated paper that matches the color of the basket so that the foam does not show through the seams. Also cover the top of the base.
Glue toothpicks to the “tails” of the candies.
Cut a rectangle from corrugated paper (focus on the size of the candy), fold it in half and smoothly cut the edges. Wrap the candy tightly, forming a bud, and secure with wire.
To make the petals, you need to form blanks: cut out a rectangle of paper measuring 5 by 4 cm (approximately). Make sure that the paper grooves run vertically. Then fold the workpiece in half and smoothly trim the edges.
Gently stretch the middle of the petal so that the petal is voluminous.
Glue the petals overlapping each other.
Fix the flower in the center of the basket.
Now you need to make the buds. Wrap the candy tightly to create a beautiful bud.
Take another blank and wrap the candy. The upper edge should rise 3-4 mm above the previous one. Then secure another petal.
Secure the buds around the flower.
Glue the artificial flowers to a toothpick and secure.
Next, using the same scheme, we make and attach flowers and buds.
To disguise gaps between flowers, decorate the bottom row of flowers with gold ribbon loops.
Make a bow from the ribbons and disguise the attachment area with a bead or decor.
Using hot glue, attach the bow. Our candy basket is ready!
