Flower arrangement made from nail polish
Few people know that nail polish can be used to paint not only your nails. Or varnish for household needs can be applied not only to wooden surfaces. This or that varnish can be used not only for its intended purpose. Using varnish, you can make beautiful flowers.
To make flowers we will need:
- Thin wire (copper).
- Thick wire (aluminum).
- Pen or felt-tip pen.
- Scissors.
- Varnish (household, for nails).
- Plasticine.
- Green threads in two shades (wool)
- Pot.
- Beads.
- Glue.
- Pen refill.
Let's start making flowers. Take a piece of wire 15 centimeters long and make one turn around a pen or felt-tip pen, connect the ends together and twist them together. You should get a kind of loop. This will be the petal for the flower.
We immediately make the required number of petals for one flower. I made 7 pieces. The more petals there are, the more magnificent the flower will be.
Using your thumb and index finger, shape the petals. Just squeeze the petal with your fingers and make the desired shape.
We will need to bend each leaf slightly. The photo shows how to bend it.
There are two ways to color the petals.
Method No. 1 - Pour household varnish into a container and dip a petal into it, take it out and a bubble of varnish remains on the petal. I advise you to pour the varnish in advance so that it thickens slightly, this will make it easier to make the petals. Thus, we make all the petals.
Let the petals dry. For convenience, we stick them into a piece of plasticine.
After the varnish has dried, you can begin to collect the flower. We take a bead, put it on a wire, bend the ends of the wire and twist them together. Thus, we get the bead secured at one end of the wire. This will be the core of the flower.
We take the core and attach the petals to it, twisting the ends of the wire together.
This is how we make the required number of colors from household varnish. We will be making colorful flowers, so we will need nail polish. The operating principle is similar.
Method No. 2 - We make a loop, form a petal, but we apply varnish to it using a varnish brush. To do this, dip the brush in the varnish, lean it against the base of the petal and stretch the bubble of varnish over the entire surface of the petal. Unfortunately there are no photos, but here is the result.
If you want to make petals of two colors, then simply apply one color of polish, let it dry, and then apply a second color of polish in the desired place. Which method of coloring the petals to choose is of course up to you, but if you are doing this for the first time, I advise you to use the first method.
We collect these flowers in the same way as the first ones. In the end, I made flowers in three colors. As you can see in the photo, the flowers not only differ in color, but their cores are also different.
The flowers are ready. Let's start assembling the composition. Take a pot and aluminum wire. We make beautiful bends on the wire and fix it in the pot.In principle, bends can be made later, depending on your convenience.
We attach the flowers to the stem.
This is what happened.
We take dark green woolen threads and wrap them around the stem, fixing the ends of the thread with glue.
There are not enough leaves. Let's do them too. We again take a piece of thin wire and a green thread, but of a different shade. We wrap the thread around the wire and secure the ends with glue. Just don’t wrap the ends of the wire with thread.
Let's take the rod from the handle and wrap our piece of wire around it, do not wrap the ends, leave them free.
We have a spiral, carefully remove it from the rod. From this spiral we form a leaf. We straighten it slightly with our fingers, make the tip of the leaf, and twist the ends of the exposed wire together.
Attach the leaf to the flower. In this way we make the required number of leaves.
Again, take a dark green thread and wrap the branches with flowers and leaves, do not forget to fix the ends of the thread with glue. Decorate the base of the pot according to your wishes, straighten the leaves and flowers, and you can correct the bend of the aluminum stem. Our flower arrangement is ready.
