Hair clip with peony and fabric buds

To make this flower we take the following materials:
- dense fabric made of red synthetic fibers.
- green silk fabric.
- soldering iron with a fine tip.
- a piece of ceramic tile.
- needle and thread.
- medium size hair clip.
- a small iron ruler.
- a small piece of thin wire.
- glue gun.
- foil.
- some green corrugated paper.
- cardboard.
- scissors.
- candle.

At the beginning of work, we draw templates for our composition. Petals are in the shape of a droplet cut off from the bottom. The large one will measure 5.5 x 4.5 cm, and the small ones 4.5 x 4.5 cm. You also need a small droplet 3 x 2 cm, a rectangle 26 x 8 cm in size, two types of leaves. The larger template consists of 3 leaves joined together, measuring 10 x 8 cm, and the small template will have 2 leaves fastened together and its size is 8 x 6 cm.

Let's start cutting out the red fabric. We will work with a soldering iron on ceramic tiles. Let's start with a rectangle measuring 26 x 8 cm.Then we place its long side horizontally and, using an iron ruler, cut vertical strips 0.6 cm wide inside this workpiece. Not reaching the edge at the top and bottom by 0.5 cm.

Then, using templates made from cardboard, we cut out peony petals from the same fabric. There will be 12 pieces of larger sizes, and 22 pieces of smaller pieces.

Now we take green silk fabric and cut out 1 large and two small blanks according to the leaf template. And in the finished leaves, we additionally cut out holes in any form, in the wide part.

Next, from the same fabric, we cut strips along the width of the iron ruler, which we divide into 5 cm long strips.

We make triangles from such strips by cutting them diagonally. And then in each triangle we fold the lower wide side, also securing it with a soldering iron.

We light an ordinary candle, take the red petals and give them a new shape using fire. We warm the edge of the petal and on small pieces we fold it like an accordion, turning it a little with our fingers, and in large pieces we roll it inward into a tube.

To assemble the peony, take a cut rectangle, 12 petals of two sizes and 3 green leaves.

Let's start with a large blank. Fold the rectangle in half to form an uncut fringe, and use a needle and thread to make small stitches at the junction. Then we tighten this workpiece a little with thread.

Now we take a glue gun and fasten this blank by twisting it in a circle. The result is the middle of the peony.

We take small petals and glue them to the resulting middle in a circle in two rows of 6 pieces.

After that, it's time for the big petals. We also glue them in two rows.

Let's continue the work by gluing several green triangles, placing the flower upside down.

All that remains is to glue 3 large sheets on top of this.

Peony is ready. But there are two more buds in our composition.

For them, using the template of a small drop of green silk, we also cut out 10 blanks with a soldering iron and twist their edges over the fire.

Now let's start assembling the long bud. Take 5 small petals, 5 green new blanks, a foil ball 10 x 10 cm.

We fix the foil on a piece of thin wire and glue the red petals tightly.

And then we attach 5 green petals on top, placing them in a circle.

We attach 3 small triangles to the base of the bud, and cover the wire with a strip of corrugated paper.

But we still need one bud without wire.

Now we take a hair clip and attach these buds to it, place a short one without wire at the beginning of the base, and make a 90-degree bend in the long one and attach it to the first one closer, place the remaining piece of wire along the clip. But on the wrong side we make sure to make an additional silk fastening.
