Hoop hat
All breathtaking hats, just like a woman’s reputation, are created out of nothing. In our case, it is said incredibly accurately, because such a playful decoration for a hoop or elastic band will not only cost you a penny, but will look much more attractive and brighter than an ordinary flower made of fabric. And if you are planning a retro-style party, a costume party, or are planning to attend the Royal Horse Races in England (where the dress code requires a headdress), this is exactly what you need. And making such a hat with your own hands will not be difficult.
You will need:
- cardboard,
- satin pink ribbon,
- 2 types of ribbons for decorating the crown (I have polka dots),
- glue gun,
- scissors,
- beads and half-beads,
- 3 small roses from a craft store,
- dark pink lace,
- hoop
I cut out a circle from cardboard with a hole 5 cm in diameter (of which the brim is 2 cm), and another small one with a diameter of 4 cm (the top of the hat).
I wrap a large circle with pink tape, gluing it as I work.If you don’t have a glue gun or glue for rhinestones, you can use a needle and thread or PVA, although the quality of the connection will then be much worse.
Two tapes are glued onto a small circle (so that they overlap each other slightly) and their edges are tucked inward.
The next stage is to form a rectangle out of cardboard a little wider than the tape (about 6 cm) and attach the fabric to it so that on one side it extends slightly to the other side, and on the other the cardboard remains visible.
I assemble the entire hat with a glue gun, and on the crown (where there is no satin) I glue two types of bright contrasting braid (polka dots).

Lace is attached to the very bottom of the headdress, so that it peeks out 5 millimeters. Which one to use depends on your imagination, since both contrasting and matching the hat are good in their own way...
At the junction of the ribbon on the crown (so that the joint is not visible) I glue roses, several ribbon loops and lace.
Beads and half-beads are placed in a chaotic manner over the entire surface of the cap.
The hoop is wrapped (and glued) with pink tape and, at the junction with the hat, attached with glue to a circle of cardboard, slightly smaller than the diameter of the lower circle of your headdress (4 cm).
Your hat is ready and so is your new irresistible look!
