New Year's boot
New Years is soon! A time of miracles, beauty and fulfillment of desires! Everyone tries to decorate their home in their own way! Someone puts up a Christmas tree, someone hangs garlands, and someone hangs decorative boots on the fireplace. Today we will sew one of these boots. For this we need fabric:
- chintz, I took white with a small blue flower;
- pink chintz or fleece, for the face of Santa Claus;
- red fleece;
- white fleece;
- yellow fleece;
- blue fleece, but since I don’t have it, I took blue velsoft;
- floral flannel;
- pink satin thin ribbon;
- padding polyester;
- filler;
- net;
- and a couple of beads.
First of all, we draw the outline of our boot on paper.

On it we draw the location of the parts, let's draw Santa Claus!

Now let’s transfer all the details onto clean paper and cut them out. The resulting patterns for decorative details.

Let's start cutting out the details. We cut mustaches from white fleece - 2 pieces.

We also cut the beard of Santa Claus.

We take pink chintz or fleece and cut out the face and nose.

Take a flannel and cut a sock, 2 parts.

We cut a cap and two top decorative strips from red fleece.

For the bird we cut out a base from yellow fleece and blue velsoft for a wing and a small red beak.

We cut the boots themselves from chintz into a small flower; you will need 4 parts.

We cut the same parts from padding polyester - 2 pieces.

First we will make a bird, for this we sew together the yellow parts of the base, leaving an opening, do not forget to attach a small beak.

Turn it inside out.

We stuff it with stuffing and sew it up.

We sew and stuff the wing in the same way.

Now we take a bead, I took a red one, and sew the wing with it to the base of the bird.

We take the bead again, but of a different color. it will be an eye.

And sew it in the eye area.

The bird is ready!
Now we sew the mustache

Turn it inside out, stuff it and sew it up.

Sew the padding polyester to the main part of the boot

Sew Santa Claus's beard on top.

And a flannel sock.

Sew on a face from pink chintz or fleece. If you take chintz, then the edges should be folded so that they do not unravel.

Now it's time for the spout. We take a circle and stitch along the edge using a machine, but with a weak thread tension. We tighten it, fill the empty space with filler and sew it to the face.

We also sew the mustache here.

We take two black beads of the same size - these will be the eyes, and sew them on.

We take a strip of mesh 2.5 centimeters wide and sew it in the middle with a seam with a weak thread tension.

Pull the thread and you will get ruffles like this.

We sew it next to the cap, this will be the fur lining of the cap.

Let's leave it like this for now and sew on the cap itself.

Now you can fill the fur trap near the cap.

Now we take the ribbon and sew it on the border of the fabrics, beard and sock.

And at the border of the tissues from above.

We sew on the finished bird by hand.

We take the second part from the boot, sew synthetic padding, a flannel sock and a red stripe on top to it.

Place the pieces right sides inward and stitch.

In the same way we sew two more parts, this will be the inside of the boot.
We sew the inner and outer parts, turn them inside out.Don't forget to attach a small loop.

We sew up the opening through which we turned it inside out and straighten everything out.
We make a finishing stitch along the top of the boot.

Now we cut small rectangles of size 3*6 from the mesh, group them and stitch them in the middle, forming a bow and sew them to the cap. Let's blush Santa Claus' cheeks and the boot is ready!
