Fold out wedding card
Spring has arrived and certainly brought with it quite a lot of holidays, including the arrival of spring and the opening of the wedding season. Everything around is blooming and smelling, everything is flying and fluttering, a sea of bright and positive emotions, in a word – spring. This is probably one of the most favorite times of the year for any person. Well, let's not stray too far from the topic of weddings and imagine that you have been invited to a wedding celebration, and you need to properly prepare for it. The most important thing is to come up with some present and be sure to supplement it with a greeting card. It is your warm words and wishes that will be pleasant and memorable for the young people. Well, the postcard will keep these words of yours for many years. So, in order not to run around for a long time and not look for a postcard in the store, you can make something delicate with your own hands. In addition, with your imagination you can make not just a postcard, but also make a pocket in it, in which you can also invest money. The result will be a universal postcard-envelope. So let's begin.
To make a postcard you need to take:
• Watercolor paper size 17*30 cm;
• Paper in wedding tones from the “Shabby” collection, sheets 30*30 cm in two similar designs;
• Colored pictures of a couple of swans with rings, newlyweds, wedding bells, angels, rings;
• Two stamped inscriptions on watercolor paper “Happy Wedding Day”, ink pads;
• Cutting: large pink curl, pink hollow heart;
• Shabby pink-peach ribbon;
• Fabric roses on a pink ribbon;
• Pearl half-beads, peach and white;
• Curb hole punch;
• Stamens with pink glitter;
• Pink curly cornflower;
• White latex rose;
• Light pink organza ribbon 25 mm;
• Eraser, ruler, pencil, glue stick, scissors, thermostat.
We lay watercolor paper horizontally, from which we first need to make the base of our postcard. We divide the sheet from above and below into parts of 7.5 * 15 and 7.5 cm, leaving it at a height of 17 cm.
Now we connect the marks at the top and bottom and draw invisible lines with scissors. We wrap it inward and fold the base of the card.
In the middle we put a mark of 8 cm, which we retreat from below and cut off the corners on both sides of the base.
Now we cut two pieces of shabby tape and glue it with double-sided tape on the back of the base.
The base is completely prepared, now we take two sheets of shabby scrap paper.
Cut two rectangles 14*5*16.5 cm.
And then four more quadrangles like this, corresponding to the sizes in the photo. And another small rectangle for the money pocket, which we make curly on one side. Now we need to cut out such a figured blank from watercolors, tint the edges, we will have this for congratulations. We also stamp two wedding inscriptions and tint them along the edges in the same way, and then we do the same with the pictures.
We glue everything with pieces of double-sided tape onto scrap paper.
Now we sew each element separately on a machine. Now let's assemble everything onto the base. We also glue everything onto strips of tape, both inside and outside.
We stitch the inner large workpiece from the inside. And the closing sides, on the contrary, are on the outside.
Fold and tie the card with a bow. Now we glue the curl, inside the swans we glue the heart, as well as the rest decor, as in the photo.
We get a very delicate shabby envelope card for a wedding! Thank you all for your attention and good luck to everyone!
