How to make four cheese pizza
There was a time when pizza was a simple dish for ordinary people in Italy. However, now it is one of the most famous Italian dishes in the world and popular among all segments of the population. You can prepare a simple version of this dish at home using ingredients you have on hand. As a rule, the filling for homemade pizza is sausage, cheese, tomatoes, and tomato sauce. But you can also make a more “Italian” pizza called “quattro formaggio.” This name in the native language sounds like four cheeses.
Flour and cheeses produced in Italy differ from domestic products, however, following the principles of preparing four cheese pizza, it can be prepared on your own in your home kitchen.
Traditionally, the following cheeses are used for Quattro Formaggio:
It is not a problem to find all these types of cheese in the retail chain. Even if they are not produced in Italy, but in domestic dairies, homemade four-cheese pizza turns out very tasty. If any cheese is not on sale, you can select any other cheese with similar characteristics.

1. Despite the fact that you can find a ready-made pizza base on sale, it is still better to prepare the dough for it yourself. To do this, you need to knead a simple yeast dough in water with the addition of a small amount of oil. It is preferable to use olive oil, but you can use any odorless vegetable oil. To prepare the dough, you need to add sugar, salt and yeast to warm water. Pour in the oil and add the flour. Knead the dough. Leave the pizza dough for 40 minutes in a warm place.
2. Grate Parmesan or any hard cheese using a fine-tooth grater.
3. Break or chop the mozzarella with your hands.
4. Break the blue cheese into small pieces.
5. Grate maazdam or casket cheese on a coarse grater.
6. Roll out the dough. This needs to be done as subtly as possible.
7. It is advisable that the four-cheese pizza base should be no thicker than 4-5 mm.
8. Sprinkle grated Parmesan all over the pizza base.
9. Arrange pieces of mozzarella and blue cheese.
10. Sprinkle everything on top with maazdam or casket cheese. You can add a pinch of dry oregano, which in Italy is called oregano.
11. Heat the oven to + 190. Place a baking sheet with four cheese pizza inside.
After about 12 - 15 minutes, homemade pizza with four types of cheese is ready.
