How to make a bee using the quilling technique
The transformation of thin strips into various figures and compositions is known as quilling. It is not difficult to master this technique, but it is better to start not with creating paintings, but with its individual elements. In this master class we will show you how to make a bee.
To work you will need to take:
- 2 strips of black paper (width 5 mm);
- 2 white stripes;
- 1 yellow;
- glue;
- scissors;
- ruler for quilling;
- tool for twisting rolls.
First, take one strip of black and yellow, cut them into 4 equal parts.
Then glue them together, alternating colors.
We roll the resulting long strip into a roll. This will be the body of the future bee. Place the workpiece on a quilling ruler.
After this, glue the edge of the roll and give it a teardrop shape. The body is ready.
Now he will make bee wings. To do this, take a white strip, twist it into a roll and place it in a ruler using a smaller diameter.
We take it out and fasten the edge with glue.
Give the roll a teardrop shape by squeezing it with your fingers.
You need to make 2 such blanks, these will be bee wings.
For the head, you will need to cut off a small piece from the remaining black strip (for the bee's antennae).
We twist the long part into a tight roll, this will be the head.
We begin to connect the individual elements of the bee. We glue the wings on the sides of the body.
We fix the head on top.
Fold a small piece of black strip in half.
Gently curl the ends.
Glue the antennae. Our bee using the quilling technique is ready.
