Spiced cranberry marmalade
Bright, mega-healthy and very tasty marmalade, created on the basis of cranberries, aromatic spices and agar-agar. This delicacy can be given even to small children. This sweetness is a good substitute for store-bought sweets, which contain artificial colors and preservatives. To create a treat, you can buy fresh or frozen cranberries.
This recipe uses agar-agar, which is made from seaweed and has a lot of useful substances. Thanks to this, the sweetness can be consumed during fasting, as well as for those people who adhere to vegetarianism.
Using the same principle, you can make a jelly dessert from viburnum, lingonberries or sea buckthorn. In each case, you will get not only an appetizing, but also an original dessert that can decorate even the most sophisticated table. To form marmalade, it is recommended to use molds only with a smooth surface. It will be easy for you to remove the treat from them without damaging its appearance. For this, it is best to use silicone molds of different sizes.
Ingredients:
1. Pour the berries into a saucepan.
2. Add the recommended amount of granulated sugar into the pan.
3. Add the necessary spices. We can also exclude spices from the composition of products.
4. Pour water (200 ml).
5. Mix cold water (40 ml) and agar. We wait 10-12 minutes.
6. Prepare the cranberry infusion for 10-12 minutes (after boiling), having previously crushed the berries with a muddler (so that they “let out the juice”).
7. Strain the compote and measure out 200 ml of the finished drink. Pour 1/2 of the compote into a saucepan.
8. Add agar to it, stir quickly and bring to a boil. Cook the mixture for another 30-40 seconds, constantly stirring the mass.
9. Pour the remaining infusion into the container.
10. Pour the marmalade mixture into the prepared molds and leave for 2-3 hours.
11. Remove the cranberry marmalade from the molds. We enjoy natural sweets at any time.
