Santa Claus made of paper and cotton pads

Preparations for the New Year bring joy to many. But most of all, children are looking forward to this magical holiday. They are ready to learn not only a poem for Santa Claus, but also make various crafts. We suggest making Santa Claus out of paper together with your children. The step-by-step process of creating this New Year symbol is shown in our master class.

To make this New Year's craft we will prepare:

• - red paper;
  
• - cotton pads (2 pcs.);
  
• - small pieces of white and cream-colored paper;
  
• - glue;
  
• - black marker;
  
• - scissors.

The base of our Santa Claus will be made in the form of a cone. To make it, we fold a sheet of red paper into a cone, after which we secure the edge with glue.

We trim the bottom with scissors so that the cone can stand on a flat surface.

Now let's get started with the design. Cut out a circle from cream-colored paper; this will be the head of Santa Claus.

Bend one cotton pad slightly and fix it with glue.

This will be a beard, glue it to the bottom of the cut out circle.

Cut a small piece from another cotton pad.You will need it to decorate Santa Claus's hat. We fix it with glue.

We cut out a couple of circles from a piece of white paper and draw dots on them with a black marker. Glue the finished eyes onto the face.

Let's cut out Santa Claus's nose from red paper and fix it with glue.

For the hands we will again need red paper. Cut out 2 rectangles from it.

We glue them to the back of our circle.

From the remnants of the cotton pad we can make a edging for the sleeves. To do this, cut out thin strips, and then fix them with glue to the bottom of the red sleeves.

Now we glue the finished part to the cone.

All that remains is to complete the Santa Claus costume with a small pompom. Cut a circle out of a cotton pad and glue it onto the top of the cone.
