We start by decorating and preparing the wicker basket. Any basket will do, either made from wicker or straw. Such a basket can be purchased at almost every flower shop. The point of this article is to learn how to beautifully decorate baskets and make beautiful artificial flowers from crepe paper. Let's start decorating with the handle of the basket. We take a white satin ribbon and fix one end of it at the very beginning of the handle. The width of the tape is 1 cm. Wrap the tape around the handle so that part of the handle is visible between the tape. We cut off the excess tape with scissors and secure the other end with a glue gun.

From the lilac mesh we cut out a strip 10-12 cm wide, taking into account the fact that it will tuck a little. The length of the strip is determined based on the circumference of the basket itself. We attach the mesh to the top of the basket with glue, and then glue its lower part. Leave the basket for 2-3 minutes for the glue to dry. We tie the finished red bow to one side of the basket.

The inside of the basket is filled with polystyrene foam, which is wrapped in green corrugated paper. We cut the foam to the size of the inner circumference of the basket.

Flowers are best made from crepe paper rather than crepe paper. Because crepe paper is thicker. Corrugated paper works well for leaves. Let's start by making the petals. For this you will need lilac crepe paper. First, cut the paper into strips 4 cm wide. Cut each strip into pieces 6-7 cm long. Each flower will require 5 petals. The petal is made like this: stretch each piece and fold it in half. Using scissors, cut the paper in the shape of half a heart.

Then use a wooden stick to wrap the petals, thereby giving them a more natural look. Thus, make all the petals. We make the middle of each flower out of paper. First we connect 3 petals, and then glue another 5 petals. The flower is ready. Now you need to make 6 more flowers in the same way. We cut out leaves 6-7 cm long from corrugated green paper; they also need to be slightly twisted with a wooden stick. Glue the green leaves to the flowers. Glue 3 leaves onto each flower. Trim off the excess paper from the bottom of each flower so that the flowers underneath are even. Drop a little glue onto a toothpick and pierce the flower with it.

We insert the resulting flowers into the foam, piercing it. In this case, the toothpick also needs to be lubricated with glue so that the flowers are fixed in the basket. We decorate each flower with rhinestones.

Using scissors, twist the gold ribbon and wrap it around the handle of the basket.

You need to leave the basket for the glue to dry for literally 5 minutes. The flower basket is ready!
