Simple automatic drinker
Hi all! If you have pets, then this article will be of interest to you. In it I will tell you how to make a very convenient drinking bowl, into which you will not need to constantly pour water, and the liquid will be dosed itself in the required proportions. This thing is suitable for poultry and more.
Will need
Materials:
- Plastic jar with lid.
- A bowl, cup, plastic bucket or something like that, larger in diameter than a jar. You can take the bottom of a plastic food canister.
Tool:
- Drill or screwdriver.
- A pair of small and large diameter drills.
- Hot glue gun.
- Scissors.
Making an automatic drinker for poultry
Remove all labels from the jar. Be sure to rinse thoroughly so that all odors of the product previously inside disappear.
Cut off the bottom of a plastic bucket so that there is a rim of 3-4 centimeters.
You can do a little more, it will all depend on who you feed.
Glue the jar lid to the bottom with hot glue.
Drill a hole in the jar near the neck. The height of this hole from the neck will set the water level at the bottom of the base.
Now pour clean water into the jar to the brim. And screw the lid and base together.
Turn it over and place it. Water will begin to flow out through the holes. And as soon as it reaches the desired level, the supply will stop, due to the fact that the air for discharge into the can will stop flowing.
This is a very simple and uncomplicated design that all your chicks and hens will really like.
Very easy to maintain. Does not require special stands and can be placed anywhere. I recommend making several of these automatic drinkers and placing them in different places in the enclosure so that everyone has free access to water at any time.
