Will need

- carrots - 1-2 thin slices
- onion – 1-2 rings
- garlic – 3-4 peeled teeth
- bay leaves - to taste.
- dill - to taste
- black pepper – a few peas
For the marinade (also based on one three-liter jar):
- vinegar - 3 tbsp. l. (required 9%)
- salt and sugar - 2 tbsp. l.
Preparing pickled watermelon for the winter
Initially, set the water to boil.
In the meantime, let's prepare the jars. They must be clean and dry. Place on the bottom of the jar: bay leaf, carrots, onions, black pepper, a bunch of dill (or other herbs, depending on taste) and garlic.
We cut the watermelon into four parts, then into thin slices. We put them in jars.
When the water boils, pour into the jars, cover with a lid and leave for 10 minutes.
We pour the water into the pan and now add the ingredients for the marinade, based on the number of three-liter jars.
While the marinade is boiling, fill the jars with pieces of watermelon so that they are full. Pour in the marinade and leave again for 10-12 minutes.
We do this procedure twice and tighten the jars.
Carefully turn the twisted jars over and wrap them tightly for a day or even a day and a half.
No one will refuse such a snack in winter, take my word for it! But no, try it!
Bon appetit!
