How to straighten thick copper wire quickly

Sometimes electrical or radio installation requires a perfectly straight piece of copper wire. To make coils, connectors, shunts or other elements from it. There are no problems with thin-section wire, but how to straighten wire 1-4 mm thick? There is one small “grandfather’s” trick that will be discussed here.
Will need
- Small wooden beam.
- Wooden base or piece of plywood sheet.
I think it won’t be difficult for anyone to find all this or replace it with analogues.
Straightening copper wire
So, we take the required piece of wire and straighten out what can be done by hand, which is straightening out obvious bends. Then we put it on the board. And with a wooden block, like a rolling pin, we begin to roll the wire with force.

Periodically rising up and down, passing the entire length of the wire.
Then we do the same diagonally.

We carry out the procedures until you get a perfectly even section.

That's the whole secret. The experience of our ancestors will probably last forever.
