We rid the area of all anthills with just one ampoule
An excessive number of ants on the site is fraught not only for plants, but also bad in general. Ants constantly drag soil onto garden paths, concrete, and paving slabs, which makes it necessary to sweep more often. In addition, they crawl into the house, gnaw the fruits on the trees and the crops in the beds. And most importantly, ants breed aphids. They themselves purposefully plant it on young shoots of trees and fresh seedlings in the garden. Plants affected by aphids suffer greatly and often die. In this regard, it is more effective
fight not with aphids, but with ants, which cultivate them to obtain from them the sugar necessary to feed the queens.
What you will need:
- warm water;
- sugar;
- insecticide against ants;
- caps from jars and bottles.
Ant removal process
To kill ants, you can use folk remedies, but they do not give as quick an effect as a specialized insecticide.
According to the instructions, it needs to be dissolved in a bucket of water and poured directly onto the anthill, which is not so easy.Ants often build houses underground, so there are no characteristic mounds on the surface by which their colony can be identified.
In this regard, it is better to use the insecticide in a non-standard way, allowing you to force the ants to come to the poison and eat it, rather than pouring a bucket of solution onto the anthill.
To do this, you need to prepare sugar syrup. Sugar dissolves in warm water in a 1:1 ratio. Essentially, you just need a concentrated sugar solution; you don’t need to cook anything. 0.5-1 liters of syrup will be enough to treat the area.
Then the insecticide is added to the syrup. It should be poured in the proportion recommended in the instructions. If you overdo it, the ants will begin to die from the poison even before they bring it to the anthill.
The poisoned syrup is poured in small portions into the caps of jars and bottles. Then they are placed around the site. It is advisable to dig the containers into the ground so that their sides are flush with the soil. This will allow the ants to quickly find the bait and collect it more actively.
The ants collect the syrup and carry it to the anthill. There they feed it to their queen, which naturally dies from such food. Ants collecting syrup also die. As a result, a small handful of insects will remain alive from the entire site, which will soon die out naturally, since without a queen they will not be able to breed offspring to replace themselves.
Thus, you can eradicate dozens of anthills on a site with just one ampoule of insecticide. In this case, the colonies will not have to search for and flood them with hundreds of liters of poison dissolved in water. You just need to pour the pickled syrup over the lids and place them in the morning in all corners where insects were noticed.
