Marine souvenir
An unusual thing that can decorate the interior of any room is a hand-painted hewn sea stone. Depending on the chosen design, it will decorate a certain room. For example, motifs with exotic fish look great in the bathroom, and cute cupcakes and sweets are appropriate for the kitchen.
In order to make such a craft you will need:
- paints (gouache, watercolor, acrylic);
- a set of brushes for painting;
- a simple pencil;
- colorless varnish
- medium-sized sea pebbles.
1. In order to make the colors look brighter when painting, we initially cover the stone with white gouache using a thick flat brush.
2. After the white layer has dried, use a simple pencil to draw a sketch of the future image.
3. Carefully paint the stone with paints. To do this, you can use either special acrylic or ordinary honey watercolors or gouache (you must be careful, as they are smeared when water drops get in contact with them).
4. Let the drawing dry. The drying process can take from 10 minutes to 24 hours. This depends on the type of paint chosen, the thickness of its layer, and the ambient humidity temperature.
5. Spray the resulting image with a thin, even layer of varnish.It is more convenient to use an aerosol for these purposes, but a varnish with a brush will also work. It may be necessary to spray the product again a little later (carefully read the instructions for using the varnish and proceed as described there).
Now a unique pebble is ready to complement your interior, because you definitely won’t find another like it on any coast in the world!
