Everyone pours out this liquid, but it turns out to be the best weed killer.
If there are places on the site with growing grass and weeds where they are completely unnecessary, you can use one product that destroys all vegetation without exception. After treatment, the plants dry out, and bare soil remains, on which nothing grows for a long time.
The process of preparing the product and cultivating the soil
Furnace condensate collected from the chimney is used as a means to combat unwanted vegetation on the site. If you have a solid fuel boiler, a lot of it accumulates over the winter.
You need to place a container to collect it, and as it accumulates, pour the condensate into canisters. To treat weeds even in a small area, tens of liters of condensate are needed, so it is advisable to collect all of it.
Inside the condensate there are chemical compounds, in particular sulfur. As a result of their presence, it has a characteristic red or black color. Liquid in a closed container is stored for a very long time, so it can be stored all winter without any problems and then used when the weather warms up.
To treat the area, you literally need to fill the soil with collected condensate. Within 3-4 days, the existing vegetation withers, turns yellow and turns into hay. In the future, no weed seeds will germinate there. What remains is bare dark soil. Cultivated vegetation will not take root in this place, so the product is not suitable for treating the area before decorating it with flowers or lawn grass.
Treatment with furnace condensate contaminates the soil with chemical compounds incompatible with plant growth. Therefore, it can only be used in places where there are no plans to grow anything in the near future. Do not pour condensate near a well or garden. First of all, the product can be used to shed the area under construction to clear it of growth. It is also possible to treat the blind area around the house if there are persistent weeds there.
Furnace condensate can also be used in winter, which is convenient if there is no container for storing it in large quantities. As it accumulates in the canister, it can be poured onto previously planned areas directly onto the frozen ground, after discarding the snow. It is not worth pouring on a high layer of snow, since if it has an ice crust, the condensate will not completely reach the ground, and then when it melts it will spread wider than the planned area. After each spill, the treated area is marked, and then, as the collected condensate appears, treatment is carried out from the marks left.
