A cheap way to fight ants and aphids on trees

Aphids appear on tree leaves thanks to the ants that inhabit them. Therefore, to get rid of it, you need to remove the ants. This can be done in a very simple, almost free way.

The essence of the method is that working ants move only along paths marked with odors. If these smells are interrupted, they will not be able to navigate.
To do this, you need to cut any rag made of highly absorbent material into a ribbon of sufficient length to tie several times around the tree trunk. Then it is soaked in vegetable oil.

An oil-soaked ribbon is tied around the tree trunk. The ants, having reached such an obstacle, will not be able to smell the scent of the path, so they will not go further. For greater reliability, you can make a couple of such tapes with a slight indentation to completely disorient them. As the oil dries out and the smell dissipates, it needs to be added to the tape through a spoon or syringe.In this way, both the ants and the tree will remain intact, and the aphids, without their help, will not be able to spread so much throughout the crown.
