Buckwheat and cabbage. A quick, unusual dinner recipe that always saves
For most people, buckwheat porridge is a simple side dish for meat dishes. In this form, she quickly gets bored. To diversify your dinner, it can be prepared in an unusual way by adding cabbage and minced meat.
Ingredients:
- buckwheat – 200 gr. (1 tbsp.);
- cabbage – 400 gr.;
- carrots – 1 pc.;
- minced meat – 250 gr.;
- onions – 2 pcs.;
- water – 400 ml;
- salt – 2 tsp. l.;
- butter – 25 gr.;
- sunflower oil – 4 tbsp. l.
Cooking process
Pour into the pan with 200 gr. washed buckwheat, 1 tsp. salt and add 400 ml of water. Then it is placed on the fire, covered with a lid, and after boiling, cook over low heat for 20 minutes. There is no need to open it for mixing.
Butter is added to the cooked buckwheat, it is mixed, then covered with a lid and set aside. Next, chop the onion, grate the carrots and shred the cabbage.
4 tbsp is poured into the frying pan. sunflower oil. After heating, add the onion and fry for 2 minutes.
Then the carrots are added and they are simmered together for another 2 minutes.The cabbage is added last, everything is mixed and fried over low heat for another 6 minutes.
As soon as the cabbage softens slightly, add minced meat and another 1 tsp to the pan. salt.
Vegetables and meat are stewed until cooked, stirring occasionally. This will take 15-20 minutes.
Once ready, add cooled buckwheat to the frying pan, mix the ingredients, and simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
That's it, the dish can be served.
