Welding machine made from a battery and an accumulator for welding thin metal and more
The 12V battery voltage is enough to melt thin metal parts when the contacts close, causing them to weld together. Using a battery, you can assemble a mini welding machine. They can weld various thin-walled small items, as well as grab twisted wires, which is much faster than soldering.
A graphite rod from a AA battery will be used as an electrode for welding. You just need to disassemble it and remove it.
Next, prepare 2 pieces of copper wire with a thick core. The thicker it is, the higher the current transmission and welding efficiency. The sections should be short to minimize drag. Their edges are stripped of insulation. The wires are attached to the battery terminals.
A graphite rod is wound onto the wire connected to the “+” terminal. A clamp is installed on the second one.
To use welding, you need to attach the clamp to the parts being welded. Then, by touching them with a rod, you can melt the metal, fusing the workpieces together. The pressure is applied for a couple of seconds so as not to overheat the battery. Since the rod gets hot, it should be held with pliers. You can cook on a small battery for a couple of minutes, then the battery will run out.
