A very simple recipe for making canned brisket or lard appetizers
Salted lard or meat in a jar is a universal, tasty, nutritious appetizer for the table that can be eaten with borscht, potatoes, porridge, pasta and other side dishes. It keeps for a very long time and is easy to prepare. Therefore, if you like such a snack, then be sure to prepare it, since you cannot buy this in the store.
Ingredients:
- lard, brisket or meat;
- garlic;
- Bay leaf;
- black peppercorns;
- salt;
- water.
Cooking process
Pork belly, lard or meat is cut into large pieces and placed in sterilized half-liter jars.
On top of each of them add 1 clove of garlic, 1 bay leaf and 3-4 black peppercorns.
At the same time, water is placed on the stove. 150 grams are poured into it. salt for every liter. You need to boil the brine and immediately pour it into jars.
Next, the jars are closed with sterilized lids and placed in a saucepan with a rag on the bottom. Warm water is poured into it. Then the pan is set to sterilize for 2 hours.
Upon completion, the jars are rolled up with lids and turned upside down.
They need to be wrapped in a blanket and waited until they cool down. Then the jars are transferred to the cellar, basement or refrigerator. This appetizer is served cold, cut into slices.
