Heating candle with a burning period of 13 days for a tent or greenhouse
Candles that work like lamps burn for weeks. Since they emit heat, it is easy to assemble a heater on their base. As a result, it is possible to obtain a source of light and heat in one device.
What you will need:
- glass jar 3 l;
- candle;
- miter head;
- vegetable, vaseline or lamp oil;
- clay pot;
- copper wire;
- copper plate.
The process of making a heating candle
First of all, prepare a clay flower pot with a volume of 1.5-2 liters. A hole is drilled in it in the center. It can also be sanded and painted if the aesthetics of the heater are important.
The next part of the candle is a 3 liter jar. It requires using a pen to drill a ventilation hole in the glass above the center.
A lid for a glass jar is made from a copper plate. To do this, use a piece in the form of a square, the corners of which are cut and bent. In the center of the lid you need to make cross cuts to bend the corners and get a hole.The lid itself should not fit tightly onto the jar so that air can escape from the side.
To increase the heat transfer of a candle, you need to wind copper wire on any tube with a diameter of 30-50 mm to get a long spiral. Then it is wrapped in a ball. The more wire there is, the better.
The ball is screwed to the lid with a piece of wire. It should be of such a size that the jar can be covered with a pot.
Oil is poured into the jar. Ideally, use a lamp lamp, as it does not smoke.
Then a regular candle is inserted into it. To prevent it from tipping over, you can put a load on it from below, for example, a socket head. It is important that the candle wick is above the oil level.
The candle is lit and a lid with a spiral is placed on top.
Next, the potty is put on.
If the combustion is weak, you will need to add holes in the jar. This lamp burns when filling 1.5-2 liters of oil for about 13 days.
