They look the same: how to distinguish an original faucet from a fake
Bugatti ball valves are considered one of the best available for sale in our stores. For this reason, they are often counterfeited. Moreover, fakes are of very high quality, almost indistinguishable. But there are still 3 points by which you can identify even the most skillful fake.
1. Mark of conformity
On original Bugatti faucets, the casting quality of the body allows fine details of the inscriptions to be made more accurate. This is clearly visible in the conformity sign. Rosstandart on the fake tap has a defect. In the abbreviation “RSt” the last letter looks like a dot.
The original crane, produced in Italy at the Bugatti plant, has “RSt” clearly readable. If you see a dot and not a "t", then you have a fake in your hands.
2. Bevel from the American woman
If you twist the quick-release fitting, then the side of the valve body should have thick walls. The manufacturer does not make thin-walled taps. The second indicator of originality will be the presence of two bevels at 45 degrees.
A non-original, even the highest quality fake, does not have a 45 degree bevel on the inside like the outside. It looks like a shelf on both sides. The original faucet has a shelf on one side and a bevel on the other.
3. Graphite coating of rubber bands
The sealing rubber of the original faucet has a coating similar to the lead of a simple pencil. If you run a clean hand over it, a trace of graphite will remain on the skin. The fake one has a regular black elastic band.
