How to pump water with a submersible pump from any ditch without blockages
If there is a stream flowing near the site or there is a ditch with water, then this can be used to organize irrigation using a vibration pump. The only problem is that at the bottom of such reservoirs there is silt, in which the equipment sinks, overheats and burns out. By making this modification to the pump, you can protect it from this fate.
What you will need:
- vibration pump;
- garden hose;
- insulating tape;
- PET bottle 5-6 l;
- PET bottles 1.5-2 l – 2 pcs.;
- wire;
- sinker 3-4 kg.
Pump modification process
It is necessary to cut a large window in the bottom of a plastic bottle and make a hole in its lid.
A plug from the power cord of the pump placed in the bottle is passed through the cap from the inside.
Through it, a garden hose is connected to it and tightened with a clamp. Next, you need to wrap it with electrical tape to seal the hole.
It is necessary to tie 2 plastic bottles to the neck of the bottle with wire, which will serve as floats.
Closer to the bottom on the side you need to attach a heavy sinker.To do this, holes are made in the bottle to thread several pieces of wire or nylon ties under its mount. The sinker must be suspended on a rot-resistant rope.
You also need to tape the pump wire to the hose with electrical tape.
The pump modified in this way is thrown to the bottom of the reservoir.
Thanks to the weight and floats, it will be in a floating, semi-reclining state. A dome made of a bottle will protect it from immersion in silt, and will also protect it from branches at the bottom and vegetation, even in the most overgrown swamp.
