How to make an anchor from plastic pipes
To securely attach to a concrete floor or wall, anchors are needed. If you have scraps of polyethylene water pipes, you can quickly and easily make them yourself. The result is a very reliable fastening that can only be pulled out with part of the wall or floor.
Materials:
- Polyethylene pipes;
- bolts, nuts, washers.
Method 1. Three-part anchor made of plastic pipe
It is necessary to prepare a piece of plastic pipe corresponding to the distance on the bolt between its head and the beginning of the nut attached to the edge. Then it is divided into 3 parts by two oblique multidirectional cuts.
The resulting pieces of pipe are assembled on a bolt of suitable diameter, almost equal to their internal diameter. A nut is attached to the anchor.
Now you can insert it into the drilled hole in the wall with the bolt head first, and tighten the nut. If necessary, you can put a washer under it. As the nut is screwed on, it will displace the tubes, thereby expanding the anchor. Visual test on a pipe:

Method 2. Wedge-shaped anchor made of plastic pipe
For this method, a similar piece of tube is also prepared. It is clamped vertically in a vice and cut diagonally on both sides with a hacksaw to obtain a V-shaped wedge.
This anchor is also inserted into the hole with the bolt head facing forward. In this case, the wedge should go in first, and then the second half of the tube. When tightening the nut, it will also open up greatly, giving a very reliable fastening.
