A simple manual machine for bending rod rings
Connecting steel rings usually cost much more than the rod from which they are made. In this regard, in order to save money, it is better to make such products with your own hands. To do this you will need a simple ring bending machine.
Materials:
- Strip 50 mm;
- pipe 50 mm;
- pipe 32 mm;
- round timber 20 mm;
- M8 nuts – 2 pcs.
Machine manufacturing process
We will need a strip and a pipe with a diameter of 50 mm and a length of 25-30 cm. They need to be folded together, aligned at the ends, and welded.
Next, we saw off a 32 mm tube and a 20 mm round timber 40 cm long. An M8 nut is welded to one edge of the round timber, and a piece of the same rod is welded to the second at a right angle.
We weld an M8 nut to a small piece of strip. Then we find a concrete pillar on the site or dig it in separately, and weld the first and last blanks to it as in the photo. A right angle must be maintained between them. Moreover, the strip with the nut should be slightly below the center of the pipe.
Now we place the previously prepared blank from a 32 mm tube into the welded pipe. We take a 4-8 mm rod and twist a hook at its end.After this, we pass the rod through the nut on the machine and hook it with a round timber handle.
Having grabbed the rod, he winds it onto the inner tube turn to turn.
After this, the resulting spring is cut along the grinder.
As a result, we get rings.
For reliability, their ends can be welded.
