Mackerel in a jar with vegetables in the microwave in just 15 minutes

If you don’t have any time to cook your favorite fish, then this recipe is just for you. Mackerel is cooked in a jar in the microwave. In terms of time, including cutting the fish, it will take you no more than 10 minutes. The mackerel turns out juicy, soft and very aromatic. This is something between canned food and stewed fish. You can cook a delicious soup from this fish. Can be used with any side dish: rice, pasta, mashed potatoes.

So, how to cook mackerel deliciously?

Ingredients:

  • mackerel - 1 piece;
  • onion - 1 head;
  • carrots - 1 piece;
  • salt - 1 gram;
  • ground black pepper - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • lemon - 0.5 pieces.

Prepare all the necessary products.

Thaw the fish completely and clean the insides. Rinse thoroughly under cold running water. Cut into small pieces. Remove the tail and head.

Peel the onion, wash and cut into feathers.

Peel the carrots, wash and grate on a medium grater.

Take a clean half liter jar. Place some onion peels on the bottom of the jar.

Add grated carrots. Then add the fish pieces. Season with salt and pepper.

Place the onions and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Repeat layers up to the neck of the jar.

Place the jar in the microwave. Cover with a regular plate so that the moisture evaporates less and all the juice remains in the jar. Cook on full power for 5 minutes. If your power is less than 850 W, then the cooking time should be increased. When the microwave finishes cooking, do not rush to take out the jar, let it sit for another minute. Remove the jar from the oven (carefully it is very hot) and let cool slightly.

Transfer the finished fish to a plate and serve.

You can prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sour cream and finely chopped lightly salted cucumber. Mackerel in a jar can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
