How to quickly germinate cuttings using a banana
Banana softness contains a natural growth stimulant that promotes plant rooting. With its help, you can increase the percentage of root germination of cuttings. Let's look at how to do this.
What you will need:
- Secateurs;
- sharp knife;
- banana;
- a pot with fertile soil;
- PET bottle.
Root germination process
Cuttings for germination need to be prepared as usual. But the lower part is cut lengthwise with pruning shears.
Then it must be stripped down to the cambium.
Immediately after this, the peeled part is immersed in banana pulp for 2 hours.
Next, fertile soil is collected in the pot. Banana cuttings are transplanted into the ground. The pulp on the cambium will protect it from drying out at first. Then we pour water over everything and cover it with a bottle dome.
In a humid environment under a bottle, cuttings treated with a natural stimulant will produce roots much more abundantly than those simply planted in the soil.
This is a simple organic method of germination that prevents cuttings from spoiling.
