Pink cat Murzik
All children love Stuffed Toys. The kids don’t leave them for a minute; they walk with them, sleep and even eat with them. For children, this is not just a toy, but their best friend with whom they can have fun and interesting time. A wide assortment in stores allows you to choose a toy to suit every taste. But it’s more pleasant and interesting to do it yourself. You can involve your child in the work. The creation process will bring him pleasure. This activity will also help develop creative abilities and qualities such as hard work and independence. The child can come up with his own character and help you in the sewing process.
Advantages of a handmade toy:
• safety - you know what materials it is made of;
• creativity and uniqueness – the ability to create an individual and original toy (depending on the interests and preferences of the child);
• quickly – the work will take about 40 minutes;
• easy – even a novice seamstress can do it;
• cheap - all the necessary materials can be found at home;
We decided to create a fabulous pink cat, Murzik.The color was chosen arbitrarily, the one that the child liked and was available.
What you will need for work:
• bright pink fabric about 20-20 cm;
• a small piece of soft pink fabric;
• ribbon;
• threads of black, pink, blue, red colors;
• needle;
• scissors;
• chalk;
• 2 blue buttons;
• padding polyester or cotton wool;
• pattern.
Process of creation
Step 1
First, draw the figure of a cat on cardboard. Let's cut it out and transfer it to the fabric. Cut out the shape, taking into account seam allowances.
Step 2
Create the cat's eyes. Sew on the buttons (use blue thread for this). We make a nose from a piece of pink fabric. We embroider whiskers and paws with black thread.
Step 3
Turn it inside out. We sew the parts together using an overlock stitch. Leave a small hole for filling.
Step 4
Sew on the scarf. Carefully attach it to the sides and front.
Step 5
We fill the cat with padding polyester or cotton wool. Sew it up.
The soft toy is ready! The cat turned out to be kind, cheerful and sweet. The child will love such an unusual character. And if you add a ribbon, the toy will become a Christmas tree. Children will be delighted with this New Year's decoration. They will be able to decorate the Christmas tree on their own without fear of breaking or breaking such a toy.
